Codecademy – Introduction to Cybersecurity
In this cybersecurity course, I understood how data travels through a network, how to defend against malicious traffic, and how to configure a basic firewall.
While networking technology has helped connect people all throughout the world, it has also created new risks. Only by understanding network architecture more and more can we make educated decisions on network security!
The course is simple but full of important lessons. When working with a firewall, it’s extremely important we consider what we are protecting, what we would like to spend, and what the threats we face are. Finding the right balance of protection and cost is extremely important.
